When will the 2009 Whalewatching Season Commence?

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes, Byron Bay Eco Charters Whalewatching cruises are in high demand, so we advise you book well in advance to avoid disappointment.

Am I guaranteed to see a whale?

Nature being nature, there is no guarantee. However during the 2008 migration there were up to 90 sightings a day, as Byron Bay is directly in the path of the annual migration.

What happens if my tour is cancelled due to bad conditions or weather?

Our tours are always subject to weather and sea conditions to ensure the comfort and safety of our passengers. Should a tour be cancelled for any reason, a seat on the next available tour will be offered or a full refund will be given.

How long is the tour?

The onboard tour goes for approx. 2 hours.

What if I get seasick?

If you are susceptible to motion or seasickness, we offer natural active Ginger motion-sickness tablets which will be made available to you on board.
